When I joined Medium, I kept checking my stats after every 2–3 hours, in a hope of getting more fans/claps etc. At first, it was quite distressing but with the passage of time I learned this that your stats matter but only to a certain extent and it is all relative. I mean, if your stories get curated, you will probably get more views/fans etc. However, if they don’t, there is possibility that your stats would not provide a great picture to you. Thus, irrespective of the stats, keep writing and keep improving as a writer. Soon, you will get more fans.
